African-Americans must believe they are as American as anyone else and must sacrifice as much as any other community, understanding the Constitution even when the Constitution is denied to them.

During the Gilded Age, over half of American citizens could not participate in the electoral process to determine policymakers who would set policies because women could not vote and the majority of the African-American community living in the South was excluded, with race, religion, and region used as tools to create division.

The Tuskegee Airmen were denied the opportunity to serve in World War II as fighter pilots protecting B1 bombers until armed services desegregation, and the lack of protection from Black pilots allowed Germans to shoot down American bombers at higher rates.

The extremes of anything are bad—laissez-faire policies led to stock market crash and housing market crash, and extremely robust programs created graft, so there needs to be a balance between markets and regulation.
